Every concrete slab and foundation we install starts with a solid plan — but understanding the difference between the two matters before the first shovel hits the ground. A slab is a flat, horizontal pour used to support structures like sheds, garages, and additions, while a foundation is engineered to bear the full load of a home, requiring deeper excavation, heavier reinforcement, and stricter tolerances.

Both start the same way: we assess the site, mark the area, and excavate to the proper depth before laying a compacted gravel base — a critical step in Central Texas, where expansive clay soil can shift and crack a pour if the groundwork isn't done right.

From there, we set the forms, place reinforcing steel sized for the load it needs to carry, and pour the concrete to ensure an even, level surface. Once poured, we finish and seal the concrete to protect it from the Texas sun, humidity, and freeze-thaw cycles that can wear down an untreated surface over time.

The result is a slab or foundation built to last — and built specifically for the extreme Texas conditions.
